I have the honour to report that Mr. R.A.J.

Savage, Superintendent of Mails, Post Office, Hong

Kong, has been medically examined as to his fitness

to resume his duties. I enclose a copy of our

Medical Adviser's report. Mr.Savage has been informed

that Dr.Daniels is unable to certify him as fit for

return to the Colony.

2. We now await the Secretary of State's

instructions in the matter.
